dentailia shell: Small, thin, column-like shells that grow in the deep waters off the west coast of Vancouver Island in Canada. These shells were fashioned into small round beads by aboriginal people, and had great value attached to them. They were distributed to other aboriginal groups along well defined exchange routes. |
