Period spanning from 225 to 65 million years before present (Myr BP), this period was marked by widespread warmth of the planet's surface, especially in the higher latitudes. During this time the continents were joined in a single supercontinent. This situation most likely facilitated the meridional transport of heat by ocean currents, thus resulting in an even distribution of global heat. Source: Atmospheric Chemistry Glossary
