Photosynthesis is a biological process which plays a
vital role in cycling the atmosphere's carbon dioxide, while simultaneously
producing oxygen and other complex substances. Green plants, with chlorophyll,
utilize the sun's energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into the plant
biomass while oxygen that is released into the atmosphere.
