A compact temperature-compensated gravity meter, in which a system is held in
unstable equilibrium about an axis, so that an increase in the gravitational
pull on a mass at the end of a weight arm causes a rotation opposed by a
sensitive spring. The meter weighs 5 lb (2.25 kg) and has a sensitivity of less
than 0.1 mgal. AGI
