Thomas Hunt Morgan (1866-1945) An American biologist and Nobel Prize winner (1933) who contributed to the
knowledge of the mechanism of heredity. He reported the first gene mutation
(white eye) in the fruit fly (Drosophila). He made many valuable contributions
to experimental embryology.
