A supposed social class in modern industrial-bureaucratic societies, most appropriately conceptualized as a specific part of the middle or white-collar class. It particularly refers to that stratum of people who are given the administrative and management chores and functions within big business (the corporate world) and big government. Within corporate bureaucracies the managerial class is said to have been born with the Managerial Revolution - another supposed revolution. |
