A short, fast burst of noise that makes a popping sound. Such a noise can occur when plugging a microphone into a mixer when the channel is on and turned up. Another cause is from a persons breath noises in a microphone. This can be caused by being too close to a mic, someone who uses a lot of air when they talk, or lack of using a pop filter or windscreen.
