Lazaro Spallanzani (1729-1799)

An Italian naturalist, philosopher, and priest who described the regeneration of organs in such animals as worms, snails, and frogs. He attempted to induce frogs’ eggs to develop artificially by using vinegar and lemon juice (1785).
