While communication is changing all around us, psychological practice has not fundamentally adapted for more than a hundred years. Psychologists deliver services by talking to people in an office environment or out in the field. However, with the arrival of artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace, psychological service delivery is set to change dramatically. The focus here is to explore and review the role of technology in psychological interventions, in particular for adults. This paper introduces the current definition of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the main psychological intervention: Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA). This is followed by a review of current technology to support ABA and to enhance psychological practice.
